The supernatual moment...

If we resist that common temptation to worry and strategize and dwell primarily on the future, we are then liberated to discover the possibilities and opportunites given to us in the present. Great futures are secured by that which is recognized and acted upon in the moment. This present moment is where God - who dwells in eternity, above and outside of time and space - intersects with His creation, which is limited by the confines of chronology. The "now" is always infused with the supernatural. - CJ February 15, 2007

Perhaps the answers we seek are in what you just said. To overplan is to miss out on the moment. May we stay tuned in to the Divine appointments for each day.

Even those who wouldn't claim to know God in a personal way experience His presence in certain instances. I think so often we don't recognize God present at the moment. There are so many times in the past I can remember where God was merciful and gracious, even though I didn't care about Him or give Him any credit. And really isn't it almost ludicrous to say that an Eternal God is present with me at work, cleaning the house, driving my car, or during other "meaningless" tasks? Yet, this is the truth. Quite incredible to know God and live with him at every moment - if only we would step into these supernatural moments.
Hey, nice blog by the way - this is Robbie.

It would seem that the faith of the average believer today has taken most of the personality of the presence of the Master out of their everyday lives. What a shame to impersonalize that which was made personal for us by the Master, for at the very heart of the relationship, when life is lived like he is right here before us, as he truly is, one begins to experience the true reality surrounding us every moment of every day in the fullness and richness that he so passionately desires for us. Oh but to return to those days when we cried out with faith and an intent to be heard because we knew that he was listening, present right here with us.
If I didn't know better I would say you've been reading my unpublished book Robbie! LOL

I can't help but think of "on earth as it is in heaven". If we continue to think of heaven as far away - something to at the end of our lives - then we don't focus on heaven on earth. We are consumed by the worries and cares of this world. But if we focus on what part of the kingdom God is wanting to manifest here on earth, we won't be so narrow minded in our thinking.
